Automated Garbage Patch Boat

A five-person team prototype designed to collect floating debris using a conveyor mechanism.

My contribution

Designed the conveyor belt assembly, helped design the hull and equipment layout in OnShape, and performed much of the final prototype assembly.

Prototype

Plywood construction with waterproof sealant, flotation elements, and a conveyor using metal rollers and foam liners. The $300 prototype budget finished at $226.
